Hyun Min Jung, Ph.D.

Hyun Min earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea, and M.S. in Molecular Genetics from CHA University, Seongnam, South Korea. After doing research in cancer biology during his Master’s training, he entered the Interdisciplinary Program in Biomedical Sciences (IDP) at the University of Florida in 2009 and joined the Chan Laboratory in 2010. His doctoral dissertation focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying oral cancers, specifically related to miRNA-mediated post-transcriptional regulation of oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes. He is currently an Assistant Profesor in the Department of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Illinois, Chicago.
